about
Five arches mark the space, holding ceramic instruments in Maika Garnica’s sound piece From Bow to Ear. At set times, the performative installation gets activated by the artist, who through the use of contact microphones, makes her touch resonate. The metal holder’s undulating line is shaped like sound waves and maps a territory for tactile and sonic encounters. The introduction of electronic devices in Garnica’s practice layers the gestural and systematic in a direct sound-play experience.

Completely amazing, singular work of art from a modern master of the Serge system. In a time when modular has become shorthand for self-generating prog patches Perceptual Geography presents a diorama of voltages - land, sea and time all narrated by the crackling of electricity. killtime
The most next level music that exists. I think Mica Levi should be huge. I loved the Monos score and watched for anything Mica dropped then this album hit like a cannonball to the gut. Always looking forward to the next thing Mica does. smellymob
